We'll do a first pass through a private online gallery. Once I get your feedback, the images will take anywhere from a few days to two weeks to process.
FAQ
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
Contrary to some cultures, my camera will not steal your soul. Rather, my aim is to highlight your personality, your essence within the image. You be you and I'll make sure your story is told.
Most importantly, be ready to identify your brand - the message you wish to convey. If this is a portrait/headshot session, do your hair and makeup ahead of time. I'm no good with applying mascara, blush, or lipstick. I might help put hairs back into place as the shoot goes on, but otherwise, you don't want me fussing with your style.
What should I wear?
You do you. Cocktail dress, three piece suit, sports apparel, rock ensemble, theatre garb, or birthday suit. I'll make you look gooooood.
These images highlight your brand, your personality. This is the message you wish to send into the social mediaverse, send to future employers, print on an album cover, stick in a wallet, or hang on your wall.
Depending on our agreement, bring some outfits so you can be comfortable.
How many pictures will I receive?
While digital images are significantly cheaper than film, I'm not a spray-and-pray photographer. You don't want 1,000 images as much as I don't want to have to cull through and edit this many.
I will capture and edit the best images that convey all the messages you wish to send. I'll work with you to decide between images with similar look and feel so we agree on which one makes the cut.
Headshots/portrait sessions are priced per image; a standard wedding usually falls somewhere in the 100-300 photo range depending on the guest count and your shot list.
Are you available outside of Austin?
Have camera, will travel. If it's a far off destination, my expenses will be part of our contract. If we're talking an hour+ away, I will add a nominal travel cost.
After we chat and I get an idea what you're looking to achieve, I will send you a quote from which you are welcome to share your thoughts.
Do you do couples photography?
Absolutely.
While one subject can present wonderful options for my camera's focus, couples increase the beauty of the image. Love, desire, friendship, goofiness - the comfort you have with each other will shine in these images.
Tell me what you'd like to convey and whether you plan to share these or keep these intimate photos for yourselves. I will be your documentarian.
